Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow
I smelt snow in the air today! I use to live up in Hudson's Hope, a very small northern town. You can always tell when snow is gonna come. I loved living up north. The other day I got homesick for Hudson's Hope, more like I longed for my innocent years.... In my school part of physical education was to go cross country skiing, talk about fun. We use to get the first big dump of snow on Halloween! I think this year I noticed the weatherman said it snowed in September, how about that global warming:(
I had such a great day today! At work we decorated the group home for Christmas! We had the classic Bing Crosby crooning in the background, the smell of apple cider on the stove. All of the residents I work with were so happy and loved every minute of it! Days like this are so special. The house looked beautiful. One of my clients kept saying "I love Santa Clause!". It was very sweet.
I haven't posted in a long time. Partially due to illness and a family crisis. My father showed signs of a stroke. As soon as I found out he was in emergency, I was out the door to be with him. I made him promise me he would get healthy. My Dad and I are really close. I would be devastated if he passed away. We are a lot alike. We are emotional, caring, loving people. My Dad is truly a hero to me. When I couldn't fight a battle, he would be the first one to jump in and take care of things. Dad loves to reminisce about the old days! He loves Christmas, and always has these Christmas traditions that just wouldn't be the same without him. Dad, if your reading this, I LOVE YOU! Your my big teddy bear, my number one fan, you believe in me! You bless me with your big heart, your generosity and love of others. You are the brightest star to me papa. Be healthy so I can love you longer!
love,
Katherine
